Valladolid, Spain.
The first Back2Basics partner’s meeting was held in Spain and hosted by GRI – Gabinete de Recolocación Industrial. Back2Basics aims to find ways to bring the Higher Education (HE) systems and the labor market closer together, by working in the enhancement of digital skills in the HE Institutions. In many fields there is a gap between these two systems and recently graduated young people struggle to initiate their path in the labor market since they feel they are not prepared enough. Employers also often mention that these young people are not prepared for what the labor market expects from them.
To figure out some ways to bridge this gap, the consortium for Back2Basics will work together and prepare resources that hopefully will do just that. During this first meeting, the partners got together to discuss the project, its objectives and the expected results, also setting deadlines and dividing tasks and responsibilities amongst them.
This was a very fruitful event that allowed the partners to organize their work on the project going forward.
